Bamboo Hill Chalets is a budget resort at Air Batang, perched along the hilly cape at east end of the village where the jungle trail begins to Panuba Inn/Monkey Bay. A popular backpacker hotel with limited units, the wooden chalets occupy an elevated positing facing a panoramic view of the beach, fringed by dense clumps of trees, shrubs, flowers and boulders.
Room facilities include ceiling fans, attached bathroom with cold shower, mosquito nets and coils, bug spray, sheets, towels, soap and blankets (on request). A basic choice for accommodation, the hotel still appeals to tourists due to its secluded environment, dramatic view and rich natural ambience from the surrounding jungle.
